Break Out the Brooms

The Bucco's have officially just swept the Giants! Amazing stuff. Could this be a turn around? There have been signs of quality in the starting pitching. That is until those pitchers starting working the latter innings of there start. Of course, the 3rd game couldn't be won with out some controversy and so questionable front office moves. For the Pirates 3 run 7th, Nyger Morgan was called safe on a bunt down the 3rd base line and what turned out to be a blown call by the umpire. (Thank you Ron Kupla) From there the return of 2 hit Freddy came through yet again, with a ground rule double. Freddy has no gone 7-13 since being moved to the leadoff spot. Nate McClouth, still on fire, hit a sac-fly to bring Morgan home and make it a one run game. Jason Bay, who had a great series, backed it up with another double to make it a tie ball game. From there, the Giants made one of the smartest moves all afternoon, by walking Xavier Nady. Only to find out, that didn't really matter. The franchise's worst April player came through with a line drive single to make the comeback complete. A 5-4 win, a sweep, and now...only 3 back of .500. Us real Pirate fans never give up hope. A look ahead for the Buc's shows Atlanta coming into town with a dinosaur (Tom Glavine) taking the mound for game one. The real questin is, how many hits will Larry 'Chipper' Jones have? The man may have 100 hits by next week. He's simply hitting anything and everything that moves. Crazy Stuff.
